Senator Christopher “Bong” Go delivered a speech during the 57th Araw ng Davao del Sur celebration in Digos City at the Davao del Sur Coliseum. He emphasized the importance of continuous economic progress and community solidarity in achieving inclusive development.
In his speech, Go thanked the provincial leadership and committed public servants of Davao del Sur, led by Governor Yvonne Cagas. He highlighted the region’s natural features, such as Mount Apo, and their contributions to the local economy, emphasizing the importance of environmental and economic sustainability.
Sen Go also said to must “remember the support and care of the people of Davao del Sur”.
As the community’s “Mr. Malasakit,” he hopes to keep showing your concern and unity for the “improvement of our city”.
The senator reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being of his constituents and encouraged the people of Davao del Sur to continue their joint efforts to improve the community. He also echoed the counsel of his mentor, former President Rodrigo Duterte, to always do the right thing, which guided his decisions and service.
Go also highlighted ongoing and forthcoming projects in the region, specifically those aimed at boosting medical and health services, such as Malasakit Centres, Super Health Centres, and Regional Specialty Centres, to ensure that every resident has access to quality medical care.
Lastly, Go commended the government and municipal politicians in attendance like Senator Ronald dela Rosa, Congressman John Tracy Cagas, Congresswoman Camille Villar, Congresswoman Margarita Ignacia Nograles, Governor Cagas, and Vice Governor Riafe Cagas-Fernandez for their continued devotion to their residents and concluded his remarks with sincere wishes for the province’s future: “Happy 57th Araw ng Davao del Sur! Daghang salamat at mabuhay.”
