Following the destruction caused by Typhoon Aghon, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go first visited the devastated people of Lucena City destructed by Typhoon Aghon to help them before attending the Pasayahan Festival.
On Tuesday, Go’s Malasakit Team visited the most damaged regions of the city, bringing hope to people affected as well as his heartfelt condolences to the deceased families.
Go said they “helped 500 families” and sympathised with the families of the deceased.
Go even participated in the “Psayahan Festival,” hoping to leave smiles on the affected families.
Go went on saying “Nakisama rin kami sa kanilang Pasayahan Festival sa araw na iyon sa aming pagnanais na mag-iwan ng ngiti sa oras ng kanilang pagdadalamhati.”
Go’s team paid a personal visit to the family of Melberto Señado, a 39-year-old who died from a fallen mango tree branch caused by Typhoon Aghon’s powerful winds.
Melberto is survived by his 11-year-old son Zam.
The senator’s team is working with Mayor Mark Alcala and Vice Mayor Roderick “Dondon” Alcala to provide aid to the affected families.
