In the aftermath of Typhoon Carina’s recent devastation of parts of the country, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go on Monday, August 5 extended more support to the affected communities of Masantol, Pampanga.
In a video message, he appreciated the efforts of the local administration, which has been working consistently day and night to help out the affected citizens. He underlined an accommodating attitude and mutual support that would be required to succeed in challenges caused by any natural calamity.
Moreover, Go persists to have the Department of Disaster Resilience Act, popularly known as Senate Bill No. 188, passed. Had this measure been enacted into law, there would have been a distinct agency to ensure safe, robust, and resilient communities.

Go also encouraged the residents to seek the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Centre in Angeles City, the Malasakit Centres at Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital and the Overseas Filipino Workers Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, both in San Fernando City, especially when typhoons or other natural calamities strike and cause injuries or other medical emergencies.
Under the Malasakit Centers Act, primarily authored and sponsored by Senator Go, 166 centres were inaugurated nationwide to facilitate access to health care for about ten million poor Filipinos. Aileen Lor
