Veteran talk show host Boy Abunda has shared his sentiments towards a former celebrity couple Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto, who recently made headlines regarding their split.
On the Friday episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso host read Barbie’s official statement regarding their breakup and mentioned that he had communicated with Jak Roberto for a comment regarding this. Nonetheless, Jak has asked for more time before he would explain himself.

Abunda expressed sympathy for both, adding that it is quite emotional to end a relationship that lasted for seven years.
“Seven years is a long time. This has its own pain, but what is beautiful is that Barbie chooses to come from a place of love,” said Abunda. He remarked on Barbie’s positivity in releasing the statement and praised her intent to reflect on the good things shared with Jak.
Abunda continued to recognize Barbie’s maturity, as she hopes that Jak will someday find the love he deserves. “They must both be in pain, and that Barbie, despite this moment, chooses love and maturity is quite admirable,” he added.
The King of Talk refused to entertain social media’s circulating speculations as to the causes of the breakup and emphasized the importance of being delicate to other people’s feelings in these sensitive times.
However, Abunda mentioned some cryptic post made by Barbie’s older sister, Gabrielle Forteza, on social media platform X on the eve of the breakup announcement. While he recognized the interest it created, he did not want to go deeper into its meaning.
Kapuso Star Barbie Forteza officially announced the breakup via an Instagram post and thanked Jak for the years they spent together.
