The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has denied former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo’s request to stay for an extra 55 days in the quarantine area of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City.
BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. confirmed that Guo and her co-detainees, Jaimielyn Cruz and Rachelle Joan Carreon, have completed their quarantine period today, leading to immediate orders for their relocation.
Catapang instructed CIW Superintendent CT/Supt. Marjorie Ann Sanidad to transfer the three women to the Reception and Diagnostic Center’s regular dormitory. There, they will undergo mandatory orientation, diagnostic examinations, and classification procedures according to prison rules.
After this 60-day processing period, Guo, Cruz, and Carreon will be moved to the Maximum Security Camp, as they are all serving life sentences.
