The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has stopped accepting permits for foreign workers who will work for the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO).
According to the DOLE National Capital Region (NCR), they stopped accepting permits that started on May 2.
DOLE-NCR director Sarah Mirasol explained that they will only accept applications for regular internet gaming licences, provisional internet gaming licences, or with a notice of approval from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR), as well as authorisations or notices of approval for gaming content providers and support providers.
DOLE will also accept accreditations or notices of approval of accreditation from the following service providers: local gaming agents, a special class of BPO (business process outsourcing), training programme providers, independent testing laboratories, probity chequers, and recognised hubs.
