The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to extend services to Filipinos affected by severe tropical storms Kristine and Typhoon Leon even on All Saint’s Day.
According to DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, they are still serving people in evacuation centers in Albay, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Sorsogon, Antique, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Biliran, Western Samar, Northern Samar, Zamboanga and Mountain Province.
As of 6 p.m. today, they had already distributed more than 890,000 food packs in different parts of the country and prepositioned more than 1.3 million packs.
