Eight individuals arrested at a residential compound in Barangay Siñura, Porac, Pampanga, known as the POGO mansion, have been temporarily released. The release was due to insufficient evidence and a lack of witnesses to substantiate their involvement in human trafficking.
Among those released, six are caretakers of the compound, while the remaining two are reportedly incorporators of Whirlwind Corporation, the entity that owns the property.
Authorities plan to refile charges with the assistance of a new, yet-to-be-identified witness.
The arrest followed a raid by the Pampanga police on a two-hectare compound featuring three mansions, a swimming pool, firing range, helipad, a man-made lake, salon, spa, KTV bar, game room, entertainment center, and a secret tunnel equipped with torture devices.
The Porac local government unit has denied any knowledge of the operations taking place inside the mansion.
