The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reports that no low-pressure area is expected for the meantime.
Meteorologists say that, should it develop, the storm could run through the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao or move into open waters.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon continues to influence Northern and Central Luzon with its cloudy skies and rains. The region will see rains in Cagayan Valley and Aurora, while Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and the Cordillera Administrative Region may have a fair chance of experiencing occasional rains or thunderstorms.
Cloudy skies, rain, thunderstorms, and lightning will also prevail over the Bicol Region and Quezon, raising alert against floods and landslides.
They are predicted to be economically compromised by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas and Mindanao. Short-lived, these showers may develop into moderate, and at times heavy, precipitation, which may trigger localized flooding and landslides.
Fishing vessels and other small boats are under suspension due to rough sea conditions.
Stay tuned, however, for PAGASA updates as weather situations develop.
