Lawyer Stephen David said on Tuesday that dismissed Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is still in the Philippines. He relayed the statement of Guo in response to reports she had fled. He had talked with Guo on Monday, August 19, assuring the Atty. that she was still here in the country, although he could not independently confirm her location.
Senator Risa Hontiveros said on Monday that Guo, or the Chinese national Guo Hua Ping, escaped the Philippines on July 18 to visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
From there, the PAOCC disclosed that Guo spent time in at least three Southeast Asian countries—the latest of which was Indonesia.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco claimed that Guo left the Philippines secretly, without passing the Philippine immigration, based on intelligence reports.
David countered and said that he would provide video evidence to authorities if it turned out Guo was already outside the country.
