It’s official—Japanese stars have arrived in Manila, and the hype for Matsuri in Manila just got real.
Fans can expect an exciting wave of J-pop energy as some of Japan’s hottest acts gear up for the big event happening on April 25, 2026, at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, in celebration of 70 years of friendship between Japan and the Philippines.
Leading the arrivals is Maki Otsuki, the voice behind iconic theme songs from the hit anime One Piece. Also in Manila are J-pop groups Fairytales, often compared to the Philippines’ BINI, and Rin, both ready to bring their signature style and stage presence to Filipino fans. Completing the Japanese lineup is Ayumu Kaze, adding even more excitement to the international roster.
The celebration doesn’t stop there—local acts Mayonnaise, Sunkissed Lola, and SkyGarden, plus comedian Alex Calleja, are set to join the lineup for a full day of music and entertainment.

Fans can also look forward to meet-and-greet sessions with Myrtle Sarrosa and Maria Ozawa, making the experience even more unforgettable.
And to wrap everything up? A huge fireworks display that’s sure to light up the night sky.

With Japanese stars now in the country and fans counting down the hours, Matsuri in Manila is shaping up to be one of the most exciting cultural celebrations of the year.
