Manama: The Knights of Rizal Bahrain Chapter, in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Manama and the Filipino Creatives Bahrain, is proud to announce the upcoming on-the-spot painting contest to commemorate the heroism of Dr. Jose Rizal. The contest will showcase the artistic skills of Filipinos residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event, spearheaded by Sir Ed Hernandez, Chapter Commander, and program director Sir Dr. Neil Banez, will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at the Philippine Embassy’s Sentro Rizal. The Knights of Rizal Bahrain Chapter, with the support of Ms. Sarah Macarambon and Berna Carangan of Filipino Creatives Bahrain, will assist in organizing the contest.
The on-the-spot painting contest is open to three groups: youth 1 (7 – 12 years old), youth 2 (13 – 17 years old), and adults (18 years and above). All Filipino enthusiasts residing in Bahrain are invited to participate. Qualifiers are advised to pre-register online by scanning the contest QR code posted on the contest poster announcement.
Selected qualifiers will be notified once their entries are accepted by the organizing committee. Art painting enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and witness the artists’ articulating skills.
