The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) officials and Secretary to the Cabinet, Undersecretary Antonio E. P. Lagdameo, have pledged ₱300 million in upgrading the PNPA facilities and advanced training for its cadets.
The grant will include the construction of the PNPA Alumni Association Building, which will serve as an administrative office and dormitory for visiting alumni. Also included is the upgrading of the Crime Scene Plaza into a specialized training ground for forensic skills and investigative procedures.
This funding will also support the procurement of firearms training simulators and aid PNPA in the acquisition of mapping and predictive policing software so that training in crime analysis, visualization, and prevention can be enhanced.
Chairman Tengco handed over a check for ₱2.2 million to the PNPA Alumni Association Inc. (PNPAAAI) for the association’s purchase of a service vehicle to in supporting cadets’ learning needs, as well as 100 tablets.
For the year 2024, PAGCOR recorded revenue of ₱112 billion, an increase of 51% in net operating income to ₱84.97 billion with net income of ₱16.76 billion. The increase was attributed to increased ticket sales for the 2023 E-Sabong Derby.
