The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) will file criminal charges against Bamban and Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.
This comes after the agency discovered proof of the mayor’s involvement in the unlawful Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) operations.
According to the PAOCC official, documents with Mayor Guo’s name and signature were discovered during their investigations.
The PAOCC raid and Senate probe also found that Mayor Guo had done business with Chinese enterprises involved in POGO operations in Bamban, which continue to operate despite the lack of necessary government permissions.
The PAOCC is in charge of investigating the POGO facility, which was built on land that Guo formerly controlled.
The case is set to be filed with the Department of Justice on June 21, 2024. Aileen Lor
