President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has issued orders to government agencies to remain vigilant as Typhoon Crising, a powerful typhoon, brings heavy rains over Northern Luzon.
“Meron pong mga direktiba ang ating Pangulo sa mga concerned agencies,” said Press Officer at Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro.
According to Castro, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has declared blue alert status to ensure heightened monitoring and faster response among agencies as the country prepares for its third tropical cyclone this year.
Castro added that the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) continues to monitor the weather developments and will continue to relay updates to all other relevant stakeholders to keep them informed.
In addition, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are prepared to mobilise resources and provide assistance to the areas that may be affected by the storm.
