The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has announced a historic collaboration with Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC-13) and Digital 8 TV (D8TV) to broadcast its lottery draws starting December 31, 2024. This groundbreaking partnership aims to make the PCSO Lottery Draw more accessible to Filipinos, with daily broadcasts available on IBC-13, DWAN 1206 AM, and D8TV.
During a press conference on December 18, 2024, PCSO Assistant General Manager Atty. Lauro Patiag, IBC-13 President and CEO Jimmie Policarpio, and D8TV President Jay Ruiz shared details about the partnership. Policarpio highlighted the competitive bidding process that led to IBC-13 securing the agreement, while Ruiz emphasized D8TV’s role in enhancing the broadcast with advanced tools and equipment to ensure a more engaging presentation.
The event was hosted by IBC-13 talents Jerome Sangalang and Queen Semana, who underscored the PCSO’s commitment to responsible gaming and public service.
Atty. Patiag stressed PCSO’s dedication to responsible gaming, revealing the agency’s Level 2 certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA). “Responsible gaming deals with our role as a gaming operator to protect the public, particularly the youth, from excessive gambling,” he explained. PCSO is now aiming for Level 3 accreditation to further strengthen its advocacy for ethical gaming practices.
The PCSO Lottery Draw will feature popular games such as Ultra Lotto 6/58, Grand Lotto 6/55, and Mega Lotto 6/45, along with daily 6D, 4D, 3D, and 2D Lotto draws. Broadcasts will air live at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 9:00 PM every day, ensuring Filipinos nationwide can follow their favorite games.
For the first time, viewers can access the draws on analog and digital platforms, including IBC-13, D8TV, and DWAN 1206 AM. Livestreams will also be available on the official websites, Facebook pages, and YouTube channels of PCSO, IBC-13, and DWAN 1206.
IBC-13 has bolstered its digital capabilities with the launch of new Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) transmitters in Baguio and Davao. These join existing stations in Iloilo and Cebu, with further expansions planned for cities like Laoag, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga, ensuring broader coverage nationwide.
As part of its 2025 lineup, IBC-13 will introduce new infotainment programs such as Cooltura, Legally Speaking, Sayanista, Kalye Sining, and Barangay Trese, offering diverse content to engage Filipino audiences. Meanwhile, D8TV’s cutting-edge broadcast technology ensures high-quality content delivery through modern mobile control rooms and IP-based transmission systems.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in public service. By bringing lottery draws closer to the Filipino public, PCSO continues its mission of raising funds for health programs, medical assistance, and other charitable initiatives that benefit those in need.
Queen Semana aptly summarized the event’s spirit, saying, “PCSO is the leading charity agency in the Philippines, providing a high quality of life to Filipinos through sustainable funds from responsible gaming.”
