Manama: Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain HE Anne Jalando-on Louis, hosted a special farewell lunch at her official residence in Manama, to bid “bon voyage” to Butch Paje, a renowned visual artist and designer, and a key figure in the award-winning Filipino Creatives Bahrain group.
In her heartfelt speech during the farewell party for Butch Paje, Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis extended a warm welcome to Paje and all the attendees, particularly those experiencing the event at her residence for the first time.

Expressing her gratitude for Butch Paje’s service, the Ambassador bid him a fond farewell, acknowledging his valuable contributions. She also took a moment to recognize the dedication and hard work of the Philippine Embassy Staff in organizing the farewell lunch.
The event was graced by the presence of her spouse, Dr. D. Gerard Joseph Louis, as well as Consul Bryan Jess Baguio. Notable guests in attendance included Ms. Analisa and her daughter Nicole, and members of the Filipino Creatives Bahrain, along with other distinguished invitees. Pinoy Aksyon News Bahrain Editor-in-Chief Nanju Francisco was also present during the event.

During her speech, Ambassador Louis expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards Butch Paje, stating, “There is so much to thank Butch Paje for.” She went on to highlight Paje’s generous contributions by mentioning that he had previously donated 11 pieces of artwork to the embassy. Notably, two additional pieces were added during the celebration of “Apolinario Mabini Day” on July 23, bringing the total to 13 pieces of artwork that beautifully showcase the culture and rich history of the Philippines. Ambassador Louis also expressed her appreciation for the Filipino Creatives Bahrain group, emphasizing their collaborative efforts with the embassy in promoting cultural activities.

In concluding her speech, Ambassador Louis conveyed her sincere farewell message to Paje, stating, “We will surely miss you, Butch. Thank you very much for your generosity, kind heart, and hard work.” She also extended her gratitude to the officers and members of Filipino Creatives Bahrain for their unwavering support of the embassy’s cultural activities.
Following her speech, Ambassador Louis surprised Paje with a Plaque of Appreciation and a heartfelt personal gift. Paje, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Louis and the Philippine Embassy for organizing the Farewell Party in his honor.
