The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) advised motorists that the three lanes of the EDSA-Ortigas Flyover southbound lane in Mandaluyong City will be closed for four days starting Maundy Thursday.
The DPWH – Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office said the closure is part of the rehabilitation work that will start at 8 a.m. on April 6 until 11:59 p.m. on April 10.
The construction of the lane, which connects the areas of C-5 Road and Ortigas Avenue, will provide improved riding surface, and strengthened overall bridge structural integrity for motorists coming from Pasig City, Quezon City, and other nearby areas.

It added that the scheduled works will be conducted to take advantage of less motorists traversing the area during the Holy Week.
The rectification works will involve major repairs on the southbound portion of the flyover to rectify the damages observed in its expansion joints, while its northbound portion remains passable.
As full closure of the southbound portion will be implemented, motorists are advised to access alternate route through the service road to avoid traffic congestion.
