Authorities filed a complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday against suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and others for alleged human trafficking concerning the raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) centre in the municipality.
Guo, former Technology and Livelihood Resource Centre (TLRC) deputy director general Dennis Cunanan, and 12 officers and incorporators were charged with violating Sections 4 and 6 of Republic Act (RA) 9208, also known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by RA 10364 and RA 11862.
The complaint is filed by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).
